Hard-hitting. Gritty. Infectious. Melodic. This multi-instrumentalist trio blends riff-heavy guitars, explosive rock drumming, and soulful bass rhythms to create a sound that is both informed by the past and undeniably modern. Named after a line in Macbeth, the group originally began as a studio project in 2007. Comprised of guitarist Jared Mullins and bassist Joe Brooks, the majority of the songs were tracked between the two of them with Jared doubling up on drums, guitars, mandolin, and vocals. In September, the band released the songs on the album “Burnt Circus.” After bringing drum prodigy Dave Rollans into the group, the newly-formed live line-up played its first show at The Whiskey A-Go Go in early 2008. Since then, the band has been chosen as 94/9’s Local Member of the Day, and received consistent airplay on Rock 105.3, 94/9, and KPRI. In February, Dave received an endorsement deal with Six Gun Drums. The group has had the opportunity to study under some of the greatest musicians. Jared studied with the late Delta blues icon Robert Lockwood Junior; Joe studied with bassist and saxophonist extraordinaire Berke McKelvey; Dave with Russ Miller, Dave Weckl, Rick Latham, and Carter Beauford (to name a few.)
